Story 73

Lines

There’s something odd about this Pecha tree sapling...

Ouch!

You really startled me... How’d you spot me, anyway? I thought I camouflaged myself perfectly!

It’s OK! It’s my fault for trying to hide like that anyway!

I’m practicing my camouflage! I thought I was doing pretty good, too, but I guess not...

You did pretty good though, spotting me like that!

So I bet you’d be good at this... Could you help me practice camouflaging myself? Pleeeaaase?
I wanna get way better at it!

Yaaay! Thank you!

OK, so let’s start right away...

I wanna try camouflaging myself as something more complex!

Just...nothing super big. I can’t do that.

What would be perfect is maybe...something small, like a toy, that you can change into different shapes!
Got anything like that, (your name)?

You came up with a recipe for curved eave!

Oooh, curved eave! That’s a great idea! I wanna try camouflaging myself as those!

Please show me some curved eave, (your name)! I wanna get a good look at ’em!

If you can get some curved eave, could you please come show me?

I wanna see some curved eave!

Oooh, you brought me some curved eave?! Thanks, (your name)!

Ohhh-kayyy! Time to try out my new camouflage!

Ta-da!

And, next... BOOM!

Last one... How’s THIS?

Phew... So whatcha think? Pretty perfect, huh?

I know, right?! Ooh, I got an idea! Do you wanna learn this move too?
You do, right?!

Well, since you asked so nicely, I’ll teach it to you. JUST YOU!
Now watch real close!

Hey, (your name)! Didja get better at using Camouflage?

Go ahead and use Camouflage, and then I’LL tell you if you’re doing it right!

Go on! Camouflage yourself as something! I can wait!

Could you …Camouflage yourself as something and then come show me, pretty please?

Wha... WHAAAT?! (your name)?!
I had NO idea that was you!

Looks like you can use Camouflage perfectly now! I knew you could do it!

Oh, I just had an idea!

I’ll teach you a game this’ll be perfect for! You’re gonna be so good at it, (your name)!

It’s called hide-and-sneak! Have you heard of it?

I bet you’ll really love it now that you can do what you can do, (your name)!

If you ever wanna play, just come ask me!

Whoa! You ALREADY HAVE some curved eave?! Can I have ’em, pretty pleeeaaase?
